Occupational Therapist (OT) Opening in Frenchtown, MT
We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist for a 4 to 5 day per week position based on the caseload, meetings, and documentation requirements to ensure the provision of quality services. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students from preK to 12th grade in Frenchtown, MT, to determine their functional levels and identify special needs.
- Plan and implement therapeutic activities to support special education students in maximizing their educational experience.
- Attend ER meetings, IEPs, and 504 meetings for school district students, as well as other collaborative meetings with staff.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records, including daily notes for Medicaid eligible students, progress monitoring, and other necessary documentation.
- Collaborate with school staff to recommend activities and strategies to support Response to Intervention (RTI) and a tiered approach to education.
- Attend pre-referral Student Assistance Team meetings when time allows.
- Collaborate with other school-based services to support students across all grades.
- Current caseload includes direct service to 38 students and consultative service to 22 students.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Must hold a current license in Montana.
- Preferably have 1-2 years of experience working with school-aged children.
- Must obtain all necessary clearances and documentation to work for a school district in Montana.
- Preferred background or understanding of IEP goal writing, reporting, timelines, and other educational processes.
