Occupational Therapist (OT) Needed in Baltimore, Maryland
 
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team in Baltimore, MD. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a crucial role in helping individuals of all ages achieve independence and improve their quality of life by developing, recovering, or maintaining the skills needed for daily living and working.
 
Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to evaluate patients' physical, cognitive, emotional, and sensory capabilities.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs and goals.
  • Implement therapeutic activities and interventions to improve fine motor skills, coordination, strength, and endurance.
  • Provide guidance and education to patients, families, and caregivers on adaptive techniques, equipment usage, and home modifications.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, nurses, psychologists, and physical therapists, to ensure comprehensive care and optimal outcomes.
  • Document patient progress, treatment plans, and discharge recommendations in accordance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
  • Stay informed about advancements in occupational therapy techniques, technologies, and evidence-based practices through continuous learning and professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
  • Strong clinical skills and experience working with diverse populations across various settings, such as hospitals, clinics, schools, rehabilitation centers, and community-based programs.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others achieve their highest potential.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Commitment to upholding ethical standards and adhering to professional codes of conduct.
