Contract Occupational Therapist for the 2024-2025 School Year

At ProCare, our mission is to encourage each child to confidently and proudly achieve his or her full potential. We are working with a school district in Sonora, CA that is looking to hire a contract occupational therapist for the 2024-2025 school year with the opportunity to renew for the following school year.

With students’ needs becoming increasingly individualized, the demand for school professionals is at an all-time high. And the demands placed on school professionals are also greater than ever.

Caseload Details: 

• Full time: 37.5 hours per week
• Hours: 7:30 - 3:30
• K-8th grade caseload
• 45 students
• Mild/moderate caseload
• Itinerant position: 1-4 school sites

Responsibilities: 

• Collaborate with the OT to assess students' motor skills, sensory processing, and other areas related to occupational therapy.
• Participate in the development of individualized plans based on assessment results.
• Assist in implementing therapeutic activities and interventions to improve students' fine and gross motor skills, coordination, and sensory processing.
• Work with students one-on-one or in small groups to address specific needs.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of students' progress, including assessment results, intervention plans, and session notes.
• Communicate effectively with other members of the educational team regarding students' occupational therapy needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate occupational therapy goals into the overall education plan.

Requirements:

• Active California OT license 
• Masters in Occupational Therapy
• CPR certification.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
