NEW Opportunity for a School Registered Nurse (RN) in Dixon, CA!

Join our dynamic team in Dixon, CA, as we seek an experienced and compassionate Certified School Nurse for the upcoming 24/25 school year. In this role, you'll be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to elementary students within our district.

Position: Certified School Nurse (Elementary Caseload) Location: Dixon, CA School Year: 24/25

Overview:

• Conduct health assessments, screenings, and immunization reviews for elementary students.
• Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, parents, and healthcare providers to ensure students' medical needs are met.
• Administer medications, treatments, and first aid as necessary.
• Monitor and manage chronic health conditions such as asthma, diabetes, and allergies.
• Develop and implement individualized health plans for students with special medical needs.
• Provide health education to students, staff, and families to promote wellness and prevent illness.
• Maintain accurate health records and documentation in compliance with state regulations and district policies.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and develop appropriate interventions.

Requirements:

• Valid California RN license.
• School nurse certification from an accredited program.
• Previous experience working with elementary-age children preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Commitment to providing high-quality care and advocacy for students' health and well-being.
