Job Description:

ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and qualified Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) for a contract position in Mountain View, CA. Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction to students with visual impairments.
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and parents to create a supportive learning environment.
• Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, materials, and technology to enhance student engagement and learning.
• Conduct assessments to evaluate students' academic progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere for students with visual impairments.

Qualifications:

• Valid California Teaching Credential with a Visual Impairment Specialist (VI) endorsement.
• Master's degree in Special Education or related field.
• Previous experience working with students who are visually impaired.
• Knowledge of braille and other adaptive technologies.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
