Special Education Teacher - Middle School

Location: Soperton, GA
Employment Type:  Contract, Full-Time 40 hrs/week, 7:15am-3:15pm
Dates: July 31, 2024- End of School Year 2025
Pay Range: $32-40 hr
Job details: Grades 6-8 Math, co-teaching classroom, 

General Duties: 

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
• Provide specialized instruction and support to help students achieve academic and social goals
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create a nurturing learning environment
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities
• Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly

Requirements: 

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education (or related field)
• Georgia Special Education Teacher License with a General Curriculum endorsement 
• Prior experience working with students with special needs is preferred with a focus in Math 
• Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
