Contract Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant for 23-24 School year
At ProCare, our mission is to encourage each child to confidently and proudly achieve his or her full potential. We are looking to hire a contract certified occupational therapist assistant for the remainder of the 2023-2024 school year with the opportunity to renew for the following school year. This position is located in Irvine, CA with a supportive school district.
Caseload Details: Maternity Leave
- Full time: 32.5Â hours per week
- Monday - Friday
- Maternity leave: April 8th - June 5th
- Hours: 7:30 - 2:30
- OT onsite to supervise
- K-12th grade caseload
Responsibilities:Â
- Collaborate with the OT to assess students' motor skills, sensory processing, and other areas related to occupational therapy.
- Participate in the development of individualized plans based on assessment results.
- Assist in implementing therapeutic activities and interventions to improve students' fine and gross motor skills, coordination, and sensory processing.
- Work with students one-on-one or in small groups to address specific needs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of students' progress, including assessment results, intervention plans, and session notes.
- Communicate effectively with other members of the educational team regarding students' occupational therapy needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate occupational therapy goals into the overall education plan.
Requirements:
- Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant in California
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Occupational Therapist Assistant
- CPR certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Compassion and empathy for patients.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
