Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate LPN to provide 1:1 care for a 19-year-old female student in Basehor, KS. This position is full-time and will initially run from ASAP to 5/22/24, with the possibility of extension into 6/3/24 - 6/27/24. The LPN will work closely with the school nurse and other healthcare professionals to ensure the student's health and well-being during school hours.

Requirements:

• Valid LPN license in the state of Kansas
• Previous experience providing medical care, preferably in a school setting
• Knowledge of medical procedures and protocols
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a healthcare team
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 medical care and support to a 19-year-old female student with a disease progression
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
• Monitor the student's health status and respond promptly to any changes or emergencies
• Communicate effectively with the school nurse, teachers, and other staff members regarding the student's health needs and care plan
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records and documentation
• Follow all school policies and procedures related to student health and safety
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement a comprehensive care plan for the student
