Virtual Special Education Teacher (K-12)

Location: Akron, OH (Remote)
Employment Type: Contract (1099)
Contractor: Procare Therapy
Duration: January - June 2024
Hours: Full-Time (35-37.5 hours/week)
Compensation: Hourly

Procare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and experienced Virtual Special Education Teacher to join our team for the 2024 school year. As a Virtual Special Education Teacher, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality education and support to K-12 students with special needs in an online learning environment.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Conduct virtual instructional sessions, assessments, and evaluations.
• Collaborate with parents, school staff, and related service providers to address the unique needs of each student.
• Utilize technology to create engaging and interactive learning experiences.
• Monitor and track student progress, adjusting strategies as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
• Valid Ohio Special Education teaching license.
• Proven experience in virtual or remote teaching.
• Strong knowledge of K-12 special education curriculum and best practices.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Requirements:

• Access to a reliable high-speed internet connection.
• Ability to create an effective and inclusive virtual learning environment.
• Comfortable using various online learning platforms and tools.
• Availability to work full-time hours (35-37.5 hours/week) during the contract period.

Contract Details:

This position is a 1099 employment contract with Procare Therapy for the duration of the 2024 school year (January - June). Compensation will be provided on an hourly basis.
