Contract Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant for 24/25 School year

At ProCare, our mission is to encourage each child to confidently and proudly achieve his or her full potential. We are looking to hire a contract certified occupational therapist assistant for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year with the opportunity to renew for the following school year. This position is located in Bethlehem, PA with a supportive school district.

The selected candidate will be hired on as a full time contracted employee through ProCare Therapy. A full school year contract will be awarded for you to complete. While undergoing your assignment, you will be provided with: competitive compensation, weekly paychecks, and superior healthcare benefits through United Healthcare.

Caseload Details:

  • Full time: 35 hours per week
  • Monday - Friday
  • Hours: 8:00 - 3:30
  • K-8th grade caseload
  • Mild/moderate caseload
  • OT supervision will be provided
  • 2-3 school sites

Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborate with the OT to assess students' motor skills, sensory processing, and other areas related to occupational therapy.
  • Participate in the development of individualized plans based on assessment results.
  • Assist in implementing therapeutic activities and interventions to improve students' fine and gross motor skills, coordination, and sensory processing.
  • Work with students one-on-one or in small groups to address specific needs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of students' progress, including assessment results, intervention plans, and session notes.
  • Communicate effectively with other members of the educational team regarding students' occupational therapy needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate occupational therapy goals into the overall education plan.

Requirements:

  • Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant in Pennsylvania
  • Must have or willing to obtain Pennsylvania fingerprints & clearances
  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Occupational Therapist Assistant
  • CPR certification.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Compassion and empathy for patients.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check

  • 20-30 Minute virtual interview directly with the school district
  • Offer is typically within 24-48 hours of the virtual interview
