As a Paraprofessional, you will play a crucial role in supporting students' academic and social development within the school setting.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students under the guidance of a certified teacher.
- Assist with implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Encourage student engagement and participation in learning activities.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional standards at all times.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (associate degree or higher preferred).
- Experience working with children or adolescents in an educational setting.
- Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help students succeed.
