Job Description: ProCare Therapy is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Paraprofessional to join our team in Angwin, CA. In this contract position, you will play a vital role in supporting students and teachers in the classroom, helping to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive.
Responsibilities:
- Assist classroom teachers with the implementation of lesson plans and instructional activities
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who require additional assistance with academic tasks
- Foster positive relationships with students, helping to build their confidence and self-esteem
- Support students with special needs by implementing accommodations and modifications as outlined in their individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Assist with classroom management and behavior support, helping to maintain a safe and productive learning environment
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree or higher preferred)
- Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of students
- Willingness to undergo a background check and meet any other requirements set forth by the school district
