As an Orientation and Mobility Specialist (OMS) with ProCare Therapy, you will play a crucial role in providing specialized instruction to students with visual impairments, teaching them essential skills such as orientation, mobility, and safe travel within their school and community settings. You will collaborate closely with educators, families, and other professionals to develop comprehensive plans tailored to each student's unique needs, fostering their independence and success.
Qualified candidates should possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Orientation and Mobility, along with appropriate certification from the Academy for Certification of Vision Rehabilitation & Education Professionals (ACVREP). Previous experience working with students with visual impairments in educational settings is preferred, but we welcome passionate individuals who are eager to make a difference in this field.
