Intervention Specialist (Moderate/Intensive Needs)- Middle School

ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated Intervention Specialist to join our middle school special education team for a maternity leave position from April 2, 2024 through the end of the school year.

Position Details:

• Moderate/Intensive Needs classroom for grades 6-8
• Total caseload of 4 students
• 2 additional non-intensive students join for modified ELA instruction
• Classroom supported by a full-time aide and 1:1 nurse
• On-site position only

Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement differentiated, research-based instruction aligned to standards
• Utilize positive behavior supports and evidence-based practices
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Collect data and monitor student progress towards IEP goals
• Collaborate with related service providers, general education teachers, and families
• Maintain accurate records and compliance with federal/state regulations
• Attend IEP meetings, intervention meetings, and other required meetings

Qualifications:

• Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist license for Moderate/Intensive Needs (K-12)
• Bachelor's degree in Special Education; Master's degree preferred
• Experience teaching students with moderate to intensive needs
• Strong behavior management, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team
