Special Education Teacher (SPED) - Providence, RI

Description: We are seeking a dependable and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team in Providence, RI. This is a full-time position consisting of 35 hours per week, working with a high school-aged group of students ranging from 17 to 22 years old. The caseload will include 5-8 students with severe/profound intellectual disabilities. We are looking for someone who is prompt, reliable, and passionate about working with students with multiple disabilities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education or related field
• Rhode Island state certification in Special Education
• Experience working with students with severe/profound intellectual disabilities preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to create and implement individualized education plans
