ProCare Therapy is currently accepting applications for a full-time TVI position in Port Chester, NY. Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction to students with visual impairments, including braille instruction as needed
• Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students' educational needs
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to support students' academic and functional goals
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure students' success in the general education curriculum
• Provide consultation and support to school staff regarding accommodations and modifications for students with visual impairments

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education for the Visually Impaired or related field
• Valid certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
• New York state teaching certification or eligibility for certification
• Previous experience working with students with visual impairments preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
