ProCare Therapy is working collaboratively, with a school district in Burbank, IL to achieve excellence for all of their learners. We are actively seeking Special Education Teachers. In partnership with parents and community, we specialize in creating a learning environment in which all students excel at becoming lifelong learners and decision makers.

Employment type:

• Full Time
• Complete school year

Work Hours:

• 37.5 hours for full time
• Monday-Friday

Position Details:

• Emotional Disturbance (ED)/Behavioral Disorder (BD) Program
  • Middle School- English (Extended Leave Coverage)
  • Therapeutic: Self Contained High School
  • High School- US History
• Autism Program
  • Early Childhood (need EC + LBS1 endorsement)
  • Elementary- (Full Time and Extended Leave Coverage positions)
  • Middle School (Grades 7-8)
  • High School 
  • Post High School (ages 18-22) Full Time and Extended Leave Coverage)

Qualifications:

• Teachers MUST genuinely care about the students
• Complete an accredited teaching program and/or earn a related bachelor's degree.
• Complete required coursework and spend some time as a student teacher.
• Pass the EdTPA performance evaluation.
• Pass the Illinois Licensure Testing System exams.
• Illinois offers full reciprocity. At the time of the initial evaluation for an Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL), educators will be considered for all areas listed on his or her valid, comparable out-of-state license.
