Job Title: Full-Time School Paraprofessional

Overview: We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Full-Time School Paraprofessional in Colchester, VT. This position offers an exciting opportunity to support student learning and contribute to the positive atmosphere of our school community.

Responsibilities:

• Assist classroom teachers in implementing lesson plans and activities.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students as directed by the teacher.
• Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment where all students feel valued and supported.
• Help manage classroom behavior and reinforce positive social skills.
• Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to address the individual needs of students.
• Assist with administrative tasks and classroom preparation as needed.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred).
• Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
• Willingness to undergo background checks as required by the school district.
