Full-Time Paraprofessional - Sarasota, FL (Contracted by ProCare Therapy)

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Full-Time Paraprofessional to join our team for the 2023-24 school year. This position is contracted by ProCare Therapy and will be based in Sarasota, FL. As a Paraprofessional, you will play a crucial role in supporting the educational needs of students, working closely with teachers and other school professionals.

Responsibilities:

1. Student Support:

   • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students based on their individualized education plans (IEPs).
   • Assist students in understanding and completing assignments.
   • Reinforce learning concepts introduced by teachers.

2. Classroom Assistance:

   • Collaborate with teachers to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
   • Assist with classroom management and behavior reinforcement.
   • Support the implementation of instructional activities.

3. Administrative Tasks:

   • Assist in maintaining accurate student records and documentation.
   • Support teachers in preparing instructional materials.
   • Attend meetings and training sessions as required.

4. Communication:

   • Maintain open and effective communication with teachers, parents, and other school staff.
   • Report student progress and concerns to the appropriate professionals.

5. Flexibility:

   • Adapt to the changing needs of students and the school environment.
   • Willingness to engage in professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred).
2. Previous experience working with students in an educational setting.
3. Knowledge of special education practices and procedures.
4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
5. Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team of educators.
