Position Overview: ProCare Therapy is seeking a Full-Time Paraprofessional for the 2023-24 school year in Gainesville, FL. As a Paraprofessional, you will play a vital role in supporting teachers and students in their educational journey. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development and success of students while working in a collaborative and dynamic educational environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in the implementation of instructional programs.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students.
- Support students with special needs in both academic and non-academic activities.
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor and manage student behavior in accordance with school policies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or higher is preferred.
- Previous experience working in an educational setting is advantageous.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and students.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience and flexibility in working with diverse student populations.
- Ability to follow and implement teacher instructions effectively.
Requirements:
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Compliance with state and school district requirements.
- Certification as a paraprofessional or willingness to obtain certification.
