School Occupational Therapist (OT)

Position Type: Full-time or Part-time

Are you an experienced and passionate Occupational Therapist (OT) looking for a rewarding opportunity in a school setting? ProCare Therapy is currently accepting applications for a School OT position in Chalmette, LA. This role offers flexibility in scheduling, with both full-time and part-time options available. Immediate start is available, with the opportunity to renew for the 24/25 school year.

Responsibilities:

• Provide occupational therapy services to students in accordance with individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students' functional abilities and needs
• Develop and implement therapeutic interventions to improve students' participation and success in school activities
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team to support students' academic and social development
• Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and student progress

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
• Louisiana state licensure or eligibility for licensure
• Previous experience working in a school setting preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
