Position: Student Support Nurse (1:1) - RN/LPN Location: Mocksville, NC Start Date: Immediate End Date: June 11th, 2024

Job Details:

• Provide specialized nursing care to a high school student with complex medical needs
• Responsibilities include tracheostomy care, ventilator support, and assisting with activities of daily living
• Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals and caregivers to ensure comprehensive care for the student
• Monitor vital signs, respiratory status, and overall health throughout the school day
• Administer medications, treatments, and tube feedings as prescribed
• Assist with positioning, transfers, and mobility using specialized equipment
• Document all nursing interventions and maintain accurate medical records

Qualifications:

• Current RN or LPN license in North Carolina
• Experience with pediatric or adolescent patients with complex medical needs
• Proficient in tracheostomy and ventilator management
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to remain calm and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
