Job Description: ProCare Therapy is seeking a talented and compassionate School Psychologist to join our team in San Jose, CA. In this contract position, you will play a critical role in promoting the overall mental health and success of students, collaborating with educators, parents, and other professionals to create a supportive and inclusive school environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' academic, social, and emotional functioning
- Interpret assessment results and communicate findings to parents, educators, and other relevant stakeholders
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans to address students' unique needs and challenges
- Provide counseling and support services to students, either individually or in groups, to address social, emotional, and behavioral concerns
- Collaborate with school staff to design and implement strategies for promoting positive behavior and preventing and addressing bullying and harassment
Qualifications:
- Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
- Valid California Pupil Personnel Services Credential with a specialization in School Psychology
- Previous experience working as a School Psychologist in an educational setting preferred
- Strong assessment, counseling, and intervention skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
