Exciting New Occupational Therapist (OT) Position in Frenchtown, MT!!

We're seeking a committed Occupational Therapist for a role in Frenchtown, MT. This position typically requires 4 to 5 days per week, based on the caseload, meetings, and documentation needs for providing quality services. If you have any inquiries about the role, please don't hesitate to ask.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments for students in preK through 12th grade to gauge their functional levels and identify special needs.
• Develop and implement therapeutic activities to support special education students in maximizing their educational experience.
• Attend various meetings, including ER, IEP, and 504 meetings for school district students, as well as collaborate with staff in other sessions.
• Maintain accurate student records, including daily notes for Medicaid-eligible students, progress monitoring, and other required documentation.
• Collaborate with school staff to suggest activities and strategies supporting Response to Intervention (RTI) and a tiered approach to education.
• Participate in pre-referral Student Assistance Team meetings when scheduling allows.
• Collaborate with other school-based services to support students across different grade levels.
• Current caseload includes direct service to 38 students and consultative service to 22 students.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Hold a valid license in Montana.
• Preferably possess 1-2 years of experience working with school-aged children.
• Obtain all necessary clearances and documentation to work for a school district in Montana.
• Preferred background or understanding of IEP goal writing, reporting, timelines, and other educational processes.
