Job Title: General Education Teacher

Duration: 2024-2025 School Year, Full-Time

Job Description:
We are currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated General Education Teachers to join our team at Ridgeland, SC for the 2024-2025 school year. We have multiple openings for Second Grade Teachers (4), First Grade Teachers (3), and Kindergarten Teachers (2). The selected candidates will be responsible for providing high-quality instruction and support to students in a co-teaching setting.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated instruction aligned with grade-level standards and curriculum frameworks.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement, collaboration, and academic growth.
• Collaborate with co-teachers, special education staff, and other support personnel to meet the diverse learning needs of all students in the classroom.
• Implement effective classroom management strategies to establish and maintain a safe and orderly learning environment conducive to student learning.
• Assess student progress using a variety of formative and summative assessment methods, and use data to inform instructional planning and decision-making.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to students on their academic performance and progress towards learning goals.
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about student progress, behavior, and academic goals through parent-teacher conferences, progress reports, and other means of communication.
• Participate in professional development activities, team meetings, and collaborative planning sessions to enhance instructional practices and contribute to a positive school culture.
• Engage in ongoing reflection and self-assessment to continuously improve teaching practices and student outcomes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education or related field.
• Valid teaching certification or eligibility for certification in the state of South Carolina.
• Experience teaching in elementary education, preferably in the grade level(s) applied for.
• Knowledge of best practices in elementary education, including evidence-based instructional strategies, assessment methods, and classroom management techniques.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team and build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families.
