Assumption Parish Schools, located in Napoleonville, LA, is in search of an Occupational Therapist to cover a Maternity Leave from April 1, 2024, to May 27, 2024. This position requires full-time commitment with a caseload of 72 children. Students receive both direct OT services and consultations with teachers. Travel between schools within the district is necessary due to the spread of students. The working hours are from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM, including a half-hour lunch break.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct OT services and consultations to a caseload of 72 students.
- Ensure students receive necessary services by traveling between schools within the district.
- Collaborate closely with teachers and other professionals to develop and execute effective treatment plans.
- Conduct assessments and interventions tailored to meet the individual needs of students.
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and student progress.
Qualifications:
- Possess an active Occupational Therapist license in Louisiana.
- Previous experience in a school setting is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and effective communication abilities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and parents.
