Job Description:

• Position: Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher
• Location: Brookfield, WI
• Type: Contract
• Start Date: Immediate

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs.
• Utilize effective teaching strategies and accommodations to support student learning.
• Collaborate with other educators, therapists, and support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to discuss student progress and goals.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Deaf Education or related field.
• Valid Wisconsin Teaching License with Deaf and Hard of Hearing endorsement.
• Prior experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing preferred.
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) highly desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
