A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in a school setting typically fulfills several roles related to assessing, analyzing, and intervening with student behavior.
Responsibilities:
- Delivering Behavior Intervention Plans and monitoring/writing BIP's.
- Conduct functional behavior assessments to understand the reasons behind a student's challenging behavior.Â
- Continuously collect data on student behavior to monitor progress and make necessary adjustments to intervention plans.Â
- Collaborate with parents or guardians to share information about a student's behavior, progress, and strategies being implemented in the school setting.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of IEPs for students with behavioral concerns.
- Support RBT's and other behavioral staff members.Â
Qualifications:
- Active Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification.
- Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, or a related field.
- Able to pass a background check and drug test.Â
