ASL Educational Interpreting Position - Norwalk, CT

ProCare Therapy is actively seeking a skilled Sign Language Interpreter for a full-time position in Norwalk, CT. This opportunity is available for an immediate start and will continue through the remainder of the school year. We are looking for candidates with an EIPA score of 3.5 or higher and strong American Sign Language (ASL) experience.

Job Details:

• Location: Norwalk, CT
• Position: Full-Time Sign Language Interpreter
• Start Date: Immediate (ASAP)
• Duration: Remainder of the School Year
• Compensation: $30 - $38+ per hour (compensation varies based on experience)

Responsibilities:

• Provide effective interpretation services for deaf or hard-of-hearing students.
• Collaborate with educators to ensure a supportive learning environment.
• Support students in various educational settings.
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions.

Qualifications:

• EIPA score of 3.5 or higher
• American Sign Language (ASL) proficiency
• Connecticut state licensure and certification
• Previous experience in a school setting is preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
